Schedule a free, electric safety presentation from DP&L employees specific to your organization's needs.

Safety is our first priority. To promote electric safety in the Miami Valley, DP&L offers our Think Hot! Stay Safe! program.

The presentation features DP&L employees who will discuss electric safety (can be made specific to the audience), answer questions and give a demonstration of the power of electricity. The demonstration is optional. If you would like a demonstration, please ensure your location meets the demonstration requirements listed below the video before making a request.

Demonstration Requirements

Time

You'll need a minimum of three hours for set-up (1 hour), demonstration (45 minutes-1 hour), questions and answers (10-30 minutes) and tear-down (1 hour). Younger audiences tend to ask more questions.

Space

You'll need a minimum space of 18 x 14 feet with a 10 foot ceiling and no sprinkler heads in the demonstration area. It should be within 100 feet of an exit door and seat a minimum of 20 people.

Electrical Voltage

You'll need a breaker panel with 120/240 volt single-phase (within 150 feet of the demonstration area).

Please email us or call 937-331-4067 at least 2 weeks in advance of your date to schedule a presentation.

We will visit your location ahead of time to ensure it meets the necessary criteria to perform a safe demonstration. If not, we will work with you to determine a suitable alternate location.
