We’re conducting and evaluating research to make it easy for you to purchase and power your electric car.
DP&L is using plug-in electric vehicles to evaluate their charging needs and studying data from states that have electric cars on the roads. Our ultimate goal is to make it easy for you to purchase your electric car and not have to worry about our equipment near your home.
We’ll continue to monitor and learn, along with the automotive and electric industries as electric vehicle use becomes more prevalent.
Public Charging Stations
Most charging is expected to happen at homes overnight, but in cities where electric vehicles are now in use, public charging stations are being evaluated. These charging stations will most likely be installed where people go to shop or dine. DP&L is evaluating what its role will be with public charging stations. Check back for further information.
