The DP&L Foundation Board is pleased to announce its first Community Power Grant, $200,000 to the Hope Center for Families. This grant ensures the funding exists so financing can be closed and construction of the Hope Center starts in July 2020.

As the Board looked for impactful projects, they became determined to find a large community project that they could impact. Taking the Power Grants one step further, the Community Power Grant (CPG) is intended “move the needle” on a selected community priority.

The DP&L Foundation awarded grants totaling more than $1.7 million in 2019, including $1.3 million in Power Grants. Power Grants are strategic investments aimed at area partner organizations supporting new or continued innovative growth initiatives which will make a long-lasting impact on the people and communities in the Dayton Region. Collectively, these projects are transforming the landscape of the Miami Valley – attracting businesses, fueling growth, and improving the quality of life for our families and neighbors.
