DPL people are invested in our community. It's where we live, work and spend time - it's our community too!

As a corporate citizen, as a community partner and as individual people, all of us at DP&L are committed to making a difference through our contributions for our customers and the communities where we live, work, volunteer and play.

Employees are involved as individual volunteers and leaders in community-wide events such as Rebuilding Together Dayton, Generation Dayton Get Out and Give Back Day, Five Rivers MetroParks Adopt-A-Park clean-up, and the ThinkTV GreatTVAuction. Employee teams lead workplace campaigns for United Way, bake sales and jeans day donations giving to employee selected non-profits, and food and clothing drives.

Additionally, employee volunteers work alongside the Dayton Chapter of The American Red Cross to install smoke alarms and provide fire safety education and information to area families. And there is more they do, many are silent heroes.

DPL people have helped clean up the Miami River near our Dayton Service Building during Five Rivers' Metroparks annual Earth Day Adopt-a-Park event since it was established in 1997.
DP&L people support The Foodbank through volunteer hours, and our annual Energy2Go employee campaign, raising funds to provide weekend backpack meals for students.
Each year, young professionals from DP&L/AES take part in Generation Dayton's GenD Day, the largest YP community service effort in the region.
Since 1997, DPL employees have volunteered to help our less fortunate neighbors clean up and fix up their homes with Rebuilding Together Dayton.
