Your DP&L bill consists of various tariffed riders and charges that are summed into a few categories. These bill calculator guides will provide business customers a good estimate of charges and approximate bill amount.

Rate 117, 127 Secondary Single Phase 117, 127 XLS117, 127 PDF
Rate 137, 157 Secondary Three-Phase 137, 157 XLS137, 157 PDF
Rate 168 - High Voltage 168 XLS168 PDF
Rate 187 - Primary 187 XLS187 PDF
Rate 188, 198 - Primary Substation 188, 198 XLS188, 198 PDF

The guides can help you calculate standard service offer prices. If you are a shopping customer, your rate number will be one of the following: 711, 741, 721, 731, 717, 727, 797, 737, 757,787, 767, 388, 788, 798, 768, 758.

You can use the guides above to help you understand your price to compare. However, because supply charges for shoppers vary by supplier, they are not represented in these guides.

The guides are offered in two formats: Microsoft Excel (XLS) and Adobe PDF. To use the Excel guide, simply input the four data points to the appropriate fields and the calculations will be done for you in the spreadsheet. If you do not have Microsoft Excel, the PDF shows you how to perform the calculations. Sample data is included.

Businesses that are on residential rates 111, 141 (summer) and 141 (winter) should use the Residential Bill Calculation Spreadsheet.

How it Works

To use the spreadsheet, you will need to enter information from your current DP&L bill. Here's a sample diagram showing where to find the information:
