DP&L Foundation Signature Grants

DP&L Foundation introduced Signature Grants in 2013 to provide non-profit organizations the opportunity to request funding for larger projects. Signature Grants are aimed at helping our long-term community partners launch special projects, new or innovative programs and capital projects.

Through mid-2016, DP&L Foundation has awarded $2.35 million in Signature Grants to 15 organizations, including (listed in alphabetical order):

American Red Cross

DP&L volunteers with Dayton Red Cross

Three grants totaling $210,000 to support disaster relief services in the Dayton, Northern Miami Valley and Clinton County chapters of the American Red Cross.

Two $50,000 grants to provide matching funds for Power2Give, an online crowd funding initiative empowering individual donors to give directly to a variety of local arts, science and history projects. cultureworks.org


Dayton Children's Hospital

Dayton Childrens rendering new patient tower

Two $100,000 contributions to the Reaching New Heights capital campaign to build a new patient care tower that will transform care for critically ill infants, children and teens. Note to organizations seeking Signature Grants:

DP&L Foundation is committed to awarding at least two Signature Grants each year, one at the $100,000 level and one at the $50,000 level. Our commitment for Signature Grants is for a 1-year period. Requests for multi-year grants will be considered, but must be applied for and reviewed annually. Additional information may be requested as background for these grant applications.
