Trees are an important part of the environment that beautify our neighborhoods and communities. DP&L works with our customers and communities to ensure the safety of our electrical system, which has been threatened in recent years by the devastation of our ash tree population.
Right Tree, Right Place is a DP&L effort to educate customers to plant trees a safe distance from power lines. DP&L is committed to protecting the environment for our residents, so we have partnered with local businesses and organizations to encourage smart and safe tree planting in the Miami Valley.
Utility-friendly trees reach less than 25 feet at maturity. These trees are less likely to cause problems with overhead and underground utility lines.
