  • Re-lamping is defined as replacing a linear fluorescent lamp with a lower nominal wattage lamp.
  • Minimum area of 100 SF required.
  • Pre-approval is required.
  • Replaced equipment must be decommissioned and disposed of properly.
  • T-LED lamps must be certified by DLC, ENERGY STAR, Lighting Facts or Lighting Design Lab.
  • Exterior installations do not qualify.

Sensors and Controls

  • The control system must turn off at least half of the lamps in the fixture, or provide for continuous or step (bi-level) dimming.
  • Occupancy sensors must be passive infrared (PIR) and/or ultrasonic.
  • Programmable rapid start ballasts are recommended.
  • Vending equipment controllers must include a passive infrared sensor to turn off lighting and control compressor when area is unoccupied.

Additional Information

  • Unique lighting projects that do not have associated measures under the Rapid Rebate Program will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis through the Custom Rebate program.
  • Funds are allotted to lighting projects on a calendar-year basis and are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • Rebate measures and values for the 2017 program are for equipment and services purchased and installed on or after January 1, 2017. 
  • Eligible products and rebate values are subject to change and apply only to new equipment that replaces existing equipment or is part of a facility upgrade.
